The Art Business Conference
Florence Marmiesse, co-founder of IDA, was invited by Louise Hamlin and Alison Bertho to speak at ‘The Art Business Conference’ held at the Grand Palais last February, organised by ‘Art Market Minds’ and Beaux-Arts group. She took part in the round-table discussion ‘The Art Market in Morocco: Local Roots, Global Reach’ alongside Meriem Berrada and Mehdi Hadj Khalifa, with Rafael Pic from Le Quotidien de l’Artfacilitating the discussion. Diversity is part of IDA’s DNA; with over ten to fifteen years’ professional experience in New York, Shanghai, London and Los Angeles, IDA develops international artistic collaborations for clients with international artists. Last December, IDA was invited by the French Ministry of Culture and the Hiba Foundation to join the French delegation at FOMICC in Rabat, which aims to bring together stakeholders in the sector and jointly develop a shared vision by structuring the cultural and creative industries. This edition welcomed several international delegations with a view to fostering new synergies between ecosystems. The key lies in international connections. Morocco is not a peripheral market, but a strategic hub between Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
